The Beirut-raised Londoner channels everyone from Lana Del Rey to Fleetwood Mac on this latest cut, with her sleek vocal pairing up beautifully with a lush arrangement of strings, downtempo guitar licks and bluesy drumming. By Marie's own admission New Pharaohs is the most deeply personal project she's been involved in - she's previously written for Nicola Roberts and her old band Sohodolls were with Oasis' label, Creation - and 'This Changes Everything' reflects that deep emotion she feels for her wartorn homeland, her sense of loss and returning to painful childhood memories.
